Hi! It has been a long time since I last wrote...and a lot has been going on.
First and foremost, I want to thank all of the wonderful instructors, students and workshop participants who have made The Art School in Sandy Springs such a success!! http://www.theartschoolinsandysprings.com/ I have been truly fortunate to secure such caliber in instruction and have had "sell out" crowds for instructors such as Nancy Franke, Gary Bodner, Millie Gosch, and James Richards. Next year promises again to be wonderful as we are planning to bring in Maggie Siner at Lagerquist, more of Nancy Franke, Isabel Forbes from South Carolina, hopefully Ken Auster of California, and Robert Christie, from the Pratt Institute and the Art Students League of New York, who will instuct in canine portraiture, and this is just the beginning for 2010!
Next year we will have a juried student show for the school which will be at Anne Irwin Fine Art. Any student who has taken a class or workshop at the school may submit entries for jurying. Anne Irwin will be the judge of this show. So, plan ahead and decide or original art works which must be "for sale". There will be no age limitation due to the nature of the school and its age levels.
Sign up for the fall now. Classes begin on September 14th! As well, we have some workshops in August through November that you may wish to attend.
A number of students have been invited to be in Anne Irwin's Emerging Artists Show which will be held through August 27th. Try to attend!
Thanks, and bye for now!

The school is growing strong this year!
We have invited so many great artists who are holding workshops for us! Gary Bodner (Anne Irwin Fine Art), Nancy Franke and James Richards, (Huff Harrington Fine Art), Sabre Esler, and Kenson (soon to come!).
I have been simply overwhelmed with their positive responses to come teach!
Check out the web site for details on these artists and their workshops at the school. www.theartschoolinsandysprings.com .
